Make design decisions before you commit to tooling.
ProTec combines SOLIDWORKS design capabilities with in-house 3D printing to help you review a part’s shape, assess the proposed design and work through changes.

DEVELOP WITH A MANUFACTURER
A drawing can describe the part. A physical model gives your team something to hold, review and discuss together.
Use it to assess the proposed form, communicate changes and decide what needs refining. Our experience in component manufacturing and moulding brings a practical production perspective to that conversation.
Assess the size, form and handling of a proposed component with a physical model.
Give your engineers, purchasing team and other decision-makers a shared reference for the next revision.
Review the design and agree the changes needed before progressing towards a production tool.

SOLIDWORKS supports our design work. In-house 3D printing turns the proposed geometry into a physical prototype for discussion and refinement.
We will agree what the prototype needs to demonstrate and the suitable approach for your project. Material performance and production tolerances require their own assessment; a printed model does not by itself validate the finished manufactured part.
HOW WE WORK
Send the drawing or design information you have, or discuss a reference sample. Tell us what the part needs to do and what you want to review.
We assess the requirement and confirm the design work, prototype approach, quotation and timing before proceeding.
Examine the model with your team, identify changes and agree any further development required.
Where the project is suitable for our manufacturing capabilities, discuss tooling, sampling and production with us.
SILICONE COMPONENT DEVELOPMENT
For a silicone component, prototype review can support the design discussion before mould tooling. We can then work through the material, tooling and production requirements with you.
START YOUR PROJECT
Tell us about the part, what you need the prototype to demonstrate, your quantities and preferred timing. Our team will review the requirement and discuss a suitable next step.
